Therapeutic examinations in the cardiac catheterization unit

•  Dilation of coronary and transplanted coronary arteries after arterial transplantation surgery with balloons and third-generation drug-eluting stents.
• Dilation of the artery causing the acute myocardial infarction with stents as a first-line treatment without giving clot-dissolving drugs.
•  Using a special catheter for arteries that have severe calcification on the wall, which makes it easier to widen these arteries.
•  Placing a balloon inflator inside the aorta for cases of circulatory collapse and cardiogenic shock.
•  Draining the fluid surrounding the heart muscle in cases where it is present in a quantity that impedes heart movement, and sending samples from it for examination to determine the causes of its formation.
• Placing a temporary pacemaker for cases of complete blockage of the electrical plexus.
•  Placing a permanent pacemaker for life-threatening bradycardia.
•  Placing a defibrillator inside the heart for arrhythmias that can lead to sudden death.
• Placement of a three-chamber cardioverter-defibrillator in cases of myocardial dysfunction unresponsive to pharmacologic and interventional therapy.
