The signing of a memorandum of understanding between King Khalid University and National Life Hospitals, embodying strategic cooperation in support of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

King Khalid University, represented by the College of Medicine, signed a memorandum of understanding with Al-Hayat National Hospitals under the patronage of the Acting President of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Saad bin Mohammed bin Daajam, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Ali bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, and the Executive Director of Al-Hayat National Hospitals, Dr. Fawzia Mohammed Nasser Al-Jarallah. The signing ceremony was held at the University City in Al-Fara'a, and this partnership highlighted cooperation in enhancing the academic, research and training fields.

The objectives of the agreement and its role in enhancing cooperation

This agreement comes in response to the commitment of both parties to develop a complementary environment between the university and hospitals, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and transferring knowledge and skills in the fields of training, education, clinical practice, and the development of work methods and technologies. The agreement focuses on improving the health and research system, as well as supporting the clinical training of internship doctors.

Transfer of skills and expertise in clinical areas

    Prof. Dr. Ali bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, Dean of the College of Medicine at King Khalid University, pointed out that the MoU stipulates the training of male and female doctors at the internship stage in various clinical departments in hospitals. It also includes the appointment of training supervisors in each department, based on the available capabilities, to ensure that students receive optimal practical experience.

    The Role of Academic Staff in Consultations

    The agreement also includes the provision of consulting services by university faculty members to hospitals, in accordance with the regulations and mechanisms followed, to develop work practices and improve health care.

    Cooperation in scientific research and graduate programs

    The MoU includes cooperation in the fields of scientific research and continuing education programs, and coordination to establish future postgraduate programs. This coordination aims to enhance the quality of scientific research, develop administrative expertise and community participation. This agreement is an important step towards strengthening the relationship between King Khalid University and National Life Hospitals, as it provides both parties with advanced opportunities for knowledge transfer and improving training and research competencies, in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2033, to benefit students and health practitioners in the region.
